Position – Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation Jobs 2026
- Senior Associate (Geophysics)
Qualification – Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation Jobs 2026
4-year BS Geophysics (MS Preferred) from an HEC-recognized institution (Minimum 16 Years of Education).
Experience
- 3 to 4 years of relevant post qualification experience in QC, processing,& interpreting geophysical surveys for geo resource exploration.
- Experience in operating geophysical instruments & software driven data analysis is advantageous.
- Candidates with domicile of Balochistan, KPK,& Islamabad will be preferred.
- Broad knowledge of metals & mining industry is essential.
Age
- Maximum 33 Years on closing date of advertisement.
Key Job Responsibilities
i. Plan and execute geophysical exploration programs using suitable methods such as ERT, EM, magnetic, gravity, and other potential field techniques based on project objectives and geological setting.
ii. Process, quality check and interpret geophysical datasets to ensure reliable results for exploration targeting, subsurface mapping, and resource evaluation.
iii. Develop integrated 2D and 3D subsurface models by combining geophysical results with geological mapping, lithology, geochemistry and drilling information.
iv. Support field operations and acquisition activities by assisting with survey planning, data collection, equipment use, and field QC to maintain data quality and operational efficiency.
v. Manage exploration and geophysical databases including validation, archival, metadata tagging, and workflow improvement for better access, traceability, and reporting.
vi. Use software and analytical tools such as Oasis Montaj, automation tools, reporting and workflow support.
vii. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation that clearly communicate survey results, exploration risks, target rationale and recommendations to technical and management teams.
viii. Contribute to project planning and delivery management by defining work scope, tracking timelines, managing technical risks and supporting cost conscious execution of exploration and development activities.
ix. Keep abreast of advancements in geophysical methodologies, technologies, and industry best practices.
x. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing geophysical operations and data collection.
