Assistant Director (Java Developer)
Educational Background:
- Bachelors (4 years) Degree:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Information Technology
- or related field
- Masters degree will be preferred
- Minimum 16 years of education (HEC attested) mandatory
- All degrees must be HEC attested
Professional Experience:
- Preferably 5 years post qualification experience
- Experience in a similar role, particularly:
- Digital Identity
- Or experience working in the public sector
Responsibilities, skills and abilities:
- Design, development, testing and maintenance of Java-based software
- Ensuring high performance, responsiveness and scalability
- Architecture and design of scalable and secure Java applications
- Working with databases:
- Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.
- Query optimization and DB management
- Bug identification, troubleshooting and quick resolution
- Backend system implementation using JAVA
- Using version control systems like Git
- Unit testing, integration testing and code reviews
- Close collaboration with the team
- Documentation of code, processes and procedures
Java expertise:
- Core Java
- Java EE
- Spring
- Hibernate
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases:
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB
