Responsibilities:
- Generating Technical Drawing Use AutoCAD software to create precise & thorough technical drawings for numerous elements of oil/ & gas projects.
- Including: P&IDs (Diagrams of Piping & Instrumentation ) show functional links between instrumentations, piping, and system components.
- PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) depict overall flow of processes in a plant or / facility.
- Isometric pipe Drawings: Provide a 3D picture of pipe systems for installation and construction.
- Equipment Layout and General organization (GA) Drawings depict the spatial organization of equipment and significant components within a facility.
- Civil and structural drawings depict foundations, supports, and other civil structures that support oil and gas installations.
Drawings:
- Detailed Piping drawings including spool designs for manufacturing.
- As Built Drawings: Documenting the final configuration of systems after construction is completed.
- Collaboration & Design Coordination: Work closely with engineers (mechanical, civil, process, & instrumentations ), project managers, and other stakeholders to comprehend design specification, requirements, and modifications, ensuring accuracy & consistency across disciplines.
- Adherence to standards and regulations Ensure that all drawings comply with applicable oil & gas industry standards, norms, and regulations.
- This could include industry-specific standards like OISD and those for design of oil and gas plants.
- Petroleum requirements for pipeline include designs, material, installations, testing, & safety.
- Adherence to ASME B31.3 and B31.4 standards for piping’s & pipeline design and materials specifications.
- Include safety measures such as automated shut off valves & inherently safe systems to prevent ignition in hazardous situations.
- Documentation and Quality Control: Keep structured records of all drawing & changes, use strong version control, and perform rigorous quality checks to verify that drawings are correct, error-free, and fulfill project objective & timelines.

Education and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering / or related fields.
- 2 years of experience as AutoCAD drafter, preferably in the oil & gas or related industries (design/EPC/petrochemical/water).
- Professional certification in Computer Aided Design may be advantageous.
Additional desirable skills:
- Experience with particular oil and gas industry software, such as CADWorx, SmartPlant, AutoPLANT, and PDMS.
- Understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) ideas and applications such as Revit and Navisworks.
- Experience with document management systems (DMS) like Project Wise & ACONEX.
- Understanding of applicable building codes & regulations in location of operation.
- In oil and gas activities, people are aware of danger assessments, safety protocols/ and risk mitigation techniques.
