Are you an experienced Project Planning & Controls professional looking to take your career to the next level? AtkinsRéalis is seeking skilled specialists with 4–6 years of experience to support the successful delivery of high-impact projects across the Process, Manufacturing, Energy, Pharma, Infrastructure, and Transportation sectors. About the Role
As a Project Planning & Controls Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with global standards. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers to manage project costs, schedules, and governance processes, while also leveraging advanced tools and analytics to drive efficiencies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with project teams to develop Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) based on Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and set up governance requirements.
- Preparing pricing estimates using stakeholder inputs and tracking project budgets, commitments, actuals, forecasts, and contingencies.
- Engaging proactively with stakeholders to gather inputs, reach agreements, and implement continuous improvement, automation, and lean techniques.
- Producing cost forecasts, monthly cash flows, variance analyses, and performing earned value analysis to monitor project performance.
- Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, analyzing cost/resource curves, float consumption, and change order impacts.
- Supporting Project Managers with early warning reports, change orders, and risk identification.
- Leading and mentoring junior staff to achieve project delivery goals.
- Utilizing Power BI and data analytics to analyze large datasets, create dashboards, build actionable insights, and develop interactive reports.
- Enhancing Business Intelligence systems through SQL querying, ETL analysis, and data modeling.
About You
We are looking for professionals with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or related fields.
- 5–6 years of project planning and controls experience, preferably on global projects in the UK, Middle East, or US.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Power BI and strong expertise in O365 apps.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in cost management tools such as Ecosys, and familiarity with PMIS software (Primavera, Unifier, Ares Prism).
- Hands-on experience in Cost Breakdown Structures, budgeting, cash flow, contingency management, cost control, and change management.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), earned value management, and enterprise project management.
- Relevant certifications like Certified Estimating Professional, Certified Cost Professional, Certified Schedule Professional, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Bonus: experience with automation tools like Visual Basic or other software.
